How we handle Packing & Materials
Good packing is what keeps a move from turning into a pile of chips, and it matters double coming down a narrow old river-town staircase. We pack a room at a time, mark each carton as it is taped shut, and cushion the fragile pieces properly, so nothing rattles loose and the unpack goes quick.
A flat price up front, whether you need full movers or just the muscle
Plenty of Quad Cities movers put you on an hourly rate and let the clock run up the bill. Alex does it the other way: you get one flat price up front for the whole job, whether that is a full-service move or just loading help, so the number never climbs while the crew works.
Tell us about it
Run Alex through the place, the stairs and the parking, whether you need full movers or just labor to load a truck or POD, and the dates you have in mind, by phone, text, or a quick video walk-through.

Packing & Materials FAQs
How is the flat price kept firm?
Alex looks at what you are actually moving, or how much labor you need, and how tough the access is, then gives you one price and holds to it. As long as the job matches what you told us, it lands on that exact flat price, with no meter and no rounding up at the end.
Do you move pianos and heavy items?
Yes, and it is already in your flat price. Pianos, gun safes, gym equipment, and the other heavy, awkward pieces ride on the right board with proper straps and padding, muscled out by a crew that has moved plenty of them.
What keeps my floors and walls from getting marked?
Runners go down on the floors, the door frames and railings get padded, and the furniture is blanket-wrapped first, so both the old place and the new one come through clean, tight old river-town stairwells and all.
Can you move through Quad Cities winters and summers?
All year. Through a hard Midwest January we salt the steps and load fast so nothing sits out in the cold; in the humid summer we start early and keep a steady pace. Your date holds whether it is an ice storm or a muggy July afternoon by the river.
How much notice should I give?
A week or two out suits most jobs, and month-ends and college move weeks fill up soonest. If the crew has an opening we will still take a short-notice or next-day job, even labor-only, so it never hurts to give Alex a call.
Do you take a deposit?
Just a small refundable hold to lock in your crew and your date, and nothing else. The rest is due once the job is done, and the estimate is always free.
